Larry
Barrow completed the Doctor of Design degree at Harvard Design School
(HDS) in
2001 where he wrote
his doctorate dissertation"Cybernetic
Architecture - Process and Form - The Impact of Information
Technology." He has been a proponent of "collaborative"
design-build team work since establishing his firm 1985. Today his
work continues to use Integrated Project Delivery (IPD)
strategies using Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology,
digital design, fabrication, and sustainability principals. The owner is paramount in his design process and his inclusive design process welcomes the input of the multitude of persons involved to accomplish architecture to include engineers, builders and craftsperson's. His work attempts to reckon the relationship of man-made objects, technololgy and site. His ultimate goal is to achieve harmony between people, technology and nature for beautiful processes, products, spaces and places. |
