Larry Barrow completed the Doctor of Design degree at Harvard Design School (HDS) in 2001 where he wrote his doctorate dissertation"Cybernetic Architecture - Process and Form - The Impact of Information Technology." He is Director of the Digital Research and Imaging Lab (DRIL) and Graduate Program (GP) at Mississippi State University's (MSU) College of Architecture (CAAD). His work
interfaces the complexity of man and the build environment. He embraces
a holistic attitude toward architecture and considers the "process" of
architecture as important as the "product" of architecture. He embraces
a collaborative design-build effort in the process of architecture and
envisions himself as an inclusive orchestrator of creative ideas and
thinking among "all" project stakeholders and participates, The owner
is paramount in his design process and his inclusive design process
welcomes the input of the multitude of persons involved to accomplish
architecture to include engineers, builders and craftsperson's. His
work attempts to reckon the relationship of man-made objects,
technololgy and site. His ultimate goal is to achieve harmony between
