Larry Barrow was invited to be an external member of the review committee for the University of
Washington MS degree five-year review in the Department of Architecture - Seattle, WA.

Larry Barrow was invited By Dr. Ashad Ali, Department Chair of Architecture,  and the Vice Chancellor - Dr. Sayed Imtiyaz Hussain Gilani - University of Engineering and Technology (UET) to co-partner for an earthquake resistant housing grant in Pakistan through the Higher Education Commission, Pakistan.

In 2003, the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Government of Pakistan and the United States Department of State signed a comprehensive Science and Technology Cooperation Agreement that established a framework to increase cooperation in science, technology, engineering and education for mutual benefit and peaceful purposes between the science and education communities in both countries.

Larry Barrow and partnering collaborators affiliated with the MSU DRIL (Design Research & Informatics Lab) have recently completed 5 Invention Disclousures for Manufactured / Modular Housing Systems and Components with the MSU IPTL (Intellectual Property and Technology Licensing) Office.

Larry Barrow attended the (AEC/IT Leaders) (Archtiect-Engineer-Contractor / Information Technology Leaders) Roundtable, a meeting of the top architecutral, engineering and contstruction firm Digital Design Managers, IT Directors and CIO's in the world, held in Honolulu, HI 8-9 November, 2007.

Larry Barrow was asked to review and contribute to a forthcoming article by Robert Cohen, AIA, NCARB Principal of Robert Cohen - Architect  and Joel Riccoboni President of Riccoboni Construction, a fourth-generation construction firm, to be publshed in the The Modern Estate Magazine entitled "Building a Masterpiece."

Michael Berk's - greenMOBILE - Sustainable Mobile Home project won a national award in the LifeCycle Building Challenge 2007 - Building Category - Unbuilt.  Larry Barrow & Justin Taylor of the MSU DRIL (Design Research & Informatics Lab) assisted with systems analysis and 3D modeling.

Larry Barrow visited Dubai, United Arab Emerates  (UAE) July 2007 where he saw the world's tallest building now under construction - Burj Dubai designed by the Chicago office of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP and a team of consulting companies.

Larry Barrow was invited to attend the first International Colloquium of Free Form Design
held at Delft University of Technology. Approximately 30 experts, considered to be leading figures in the interdisciplinary field of Free-Form Design, were invited to debate the direction of technologies and practices that are deemed as influential in setting the agenda for future research, education and practice.
 
This international colloquium brought together intellectuals and practitioners in the field of architecture, engineering, manufacturing and academics; with the aim of establishing an international network, combining expertise and knowledge from both practice and research carried out on Free-Form Design in Architecture. The goal is to provide insight into the potential of design, engineering and development / realization processes, as well as their limitations, and to provide guidance for the wider
practice and research community for future development and research in Free-From Design.  Larry presented a paper entitled:
