Commercialization (OTC), visited MTA in Jackson, MS at the
invitation of MTA Director - Dr. Randall Goldsmith on 22 July, 2009.
Larry presented three (3) Inventions for performative
earthquake resistant and sustainable modular housing system components
for Temporary Disaster Relief Housing and multi-story Global Housing
units. Pursuant to the meeting, Larry was
invited to become a client of the MTA for pursuit of Phase 1 - Angel
Investor Venture Capital Funding for further Research & Development
and pursuit of a firm/company start-up.

LOUISVILLE,
KENTUCKY: Larry accompanied his 83 year old father to the
60th, and final, annual reunion of the 8th Armored Division held in
Louisville, KY 8-12 July, 2009. Present were American Heroes who
made a major contribution to democratic freedom, not only in Europe,
but around the world in the Battle of the Bulge and Berlin.
Local site visits included Churchill Downs, Louisville Slugger
Manufacturing, as well as the dramatic downtown river front parks and
4th Street Live.

Larry
Barrow was invited to attend the first International Colloquium of Free Form
Design
held at Delft University of Technology. Approximately 30 experts,
considered to be leading figures in the interdisciplinary field of
Free-Form Design, were invited to debate the direction of
technologies and practices that are deemed as influential in setting
the agenda for future research, education and practice.
This international colloquium brought together intellectuals and
practitioners in the field of
architecture, engineering, manufacturing and academics; with the aim of
establishing an international network, combining expertise and
knowledge from both practice and research carried out on Free-Form
Design in Architecture.
The goal is to provide insight into the potential of design,
engineering and development / realization processes, as well as
their limitations, and to provide guidance for the wider
practice and research
community for future development and research in Free-From
